Hello, my name's Toby, I'm a funeral director and I'll work personally with you all the way, from our first contact onward.
People describe me as caring, flexible, creative, professional and positive. I'm here to help you celebrate your loved one's life in whatever way you wish - simple, traditional, humanist, eco, contemporary or alternative.
I'm a celebrant too - leading ceremonies and helping to plan celebrations.
How much you spend has nothing to do with how much you love.
As a carbon neutral business I source environmentally-friendly 'World Fair Trade' coffins and urns made of natural, biodegradable, sustainable and low-carbon materials. I recommend families use local flower farms whose flowers are sustainable, chemical free, have a low carbon footprint as well as being naturally beautiful. I use our own solar-power system to run the office at Applefield Cottage as well as our electric car. I help families to offset the carbon emissions from a cremation and have lots more practical ideas to reduce the impact of a funeral.
All my fees are published here on the website. Unlike any funeral directors I've yet met, I don't make a profit from things like coffins, ashes containers, funeral venue costs etc. You only pay what I’ve paid = full transparency and no hidden 'extras'.
After we've discussed everything I'll give you a written estimate confirming arrangements, timings and costs.
