Government guidance for funerals from 'Step 3', 17th May 2021:

The maximum number of attendees is determined by how many people the venue can safely accommodate alongside staff. This will be based on the coronavirus risk assessment of the venue, and the measures they have put in place to limit the risk of transmission, for example by enabling social distancing between individuals. There will no longer be a maximum number of funeral attendees in regulations.

For commemorative events including wakes, the number permitted increases to a maximum of 30 people. This maximum limit does not include anyone working at the event, but the actual number of people able to attend will depend on how many people the venue can safely accommodate alongside staff. Commemorative events of up to 30 people can take place outdoors (including in private gardens) or indoors in a coronavirus-secure venue. Whether the event is taking place indoors or outdoors, you should discuss the safe capacity of the venue with the venue manager before the event. You should only invite the number of people the venue can safely accommodate with social distancing measures in place, in some cases this may be fewer than 30 people.

Some paperwork processes have changed and we’ll proactively manage these.

All funeral arrangements can be made:

- either by phone, email, zoom and post

- and/or by face-to-face meetings arranged in a socially-distanced way.

We can live-stream ceremonies for those who can't be there in person, and record them too for later viewing.

We are the originators of simple funerals in Kent and continue to receive 5-star reviews for our work.

Please feel free to contact us at any time.
